Iconic Hotel Offers International Amenities and Local Character
The four-star Al Falaj Hotel is known for its array of international-standard facilities and authentic local character. With 144 rooms, the Al Falaj is the largest four-star hotel in Muscat as well as the city’s oldest hotel. For the past 30 years, the Al Falaj Hotel has been recognized as the preferred choice for business and leisure visitors to Oman’s capital city.
The hotel is part of the Aitken Spence Hotel Group headquartered in Sri Lanka, which has five hotels in Oman and owns and operates the very popular Oman Desert Nights Camp, winner of the Trip Advisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’ title in 2012. Many guests at the Desert Nights Camp spend time at the Al Falaj before and after their desert experience.
Conference hall, three restaurants, extensive sports facilities
Special services at the Al Falaj include two nightclubs, a conference hall that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, and three restaurants: The Souq Cafè, serving Omani cuisine; Tokyo Taro, an authentic Japanese restaurant popular with tourists and locals alike; and Aryans, which specializes in Indian dishes. The hotel also has two gyms (one for ladies; one for men), each with a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room; two outdoor swimming pools; squash and tennis courts; and massage services for guests to pamper themselves with.
The Al Falaj Hotel aims to continue to improve its facilities and services and expects to attract more leisure visitors, including families, as Oman’s exceptional tourism appeal becomes better known worldwide. The hotel’s current guest mix is around 60% executive travelers, primarily from Europe. As it has done for the past three decades, the Al Falaj Hotel will continue to provide four-star luxury services, extending to its guests the Omani hospitality that is known the world-over.
